This is a jazz piano concert arrangement of the traditional Christmas carol “We Wish You A Merry Christmas", inspired by the solo jazz piano tradition of musicians such as the great Dave McKenna.I wanted to explore how this simple and familiar melody could be transformed through jazz harmony while keeping its original joyful character.

The arrangement combines swing rhythm, reharmonization, and voicings, with lyrical rubato sections that create contrast and allow the melody to breathe. My aim was to create a solo piano performance piece that is both enjoyable to play and musically rewarding, bringing a fresh harmonic perspective to a melody that has been loved for generations.
